To enter the Maldives, you need a valid passport with a residual validity of at least 6 months, the tourist visa is free and is given upon arrival. However, it is necessary to take into account the entry requirements, which can be viewed on the Immigration Department website. The form on the IMUGA website will also need to be filled out, but don't worry! We will help you with it.

Are there fixed dates for the stay?

There are no fixed dates for staying but we welcome a maximum number of people per week in order to be able to dedicate ourselves to each traveler in the best possible way.

Being able to swim is compulsory to join the trips?

No. Those who cannot swim will be provided with a life jacket and will still be able to enjoy the sea trips.

What currency is best in Maafushi?

The official currency is the Maldivian rufia (MVR) but the strongest currency is the US dollar ($). You can also pay in rufie or euros but the exchange rate is not convenient (normally 1€ = 1$ and 1$ = 17/18 rufie). In restaurants and excursion centers it is possible to pay by card, with a surcharge of 3% to 5%. Alternatively, you can withdraw the rufie directly from the bank on the island or from the one at the airport. If you have US dollars and want to take them with you on your trip, make sure that:

- are from the series from 2008 onwards

- have no cuts (even small ones)

- do not have writings with pen/marker

- are not damaged/worn

What are the differences between the resorts and Maafushi?

  1. The cost: the resorts have very high prices, while in Maafushi you spend much less and the excursions include several stops - costs for the boat, for the staff, lunch, water, snorkeling equipment and underwater photos/videos taken by the guides are included as well, no hidden costs!

  2. Alcohol: in the resorts all the bars and restaurants sell alcoholic drinks, while in Maafushi there is no alcohol. However, it is possible to buy beers, wine or cocktails on the safari boats parked offshore (transport is free).

  3. The watervillas: you can be accommodated in water villas only in the resorts, they are not present in the local islands.

  4. The islands: the resorts entirely occupy the island on which they are located and are intended solely for tourism. Maafushi, being a local village, is a small village with houses, buildings, guesthouses, hotels, shops, bars, restaurants, schools, a bank, etc.

What is the best time of the year to travel to Maldives?

The temperature is the same all year round: the external temperature fluctuates between 27° and 34° while the water temperature is between 27° and 29°. The climate is changing almost everywhere and currently there is rain even in the high season, just as the climate is very beautiful even in the low season months. In short: it's totally luck! At the moment the months with little rainfall February and March.

At booking time is required the full amount of the reservation?

No, only a small deposit is required. The balance must be paid upon arrival in cash in US dollars in order to pay for third party services. For all payments (both bank transfer and cash) we issue a regular tax invoice - our company is regularly registered in the Maldives (verifiable on the website of the Maldivian Ministry of Companies in the Register section).

Will the trips be refunded in case of bad weather?

Assolutamente sì. Qualora durante il soggiorno non si riuscissero a svolgere una o più escursioni per cancellazione da parte del centro, queste verranno rimborsate come da catalogo del centro.
